The Cupola

Date: 26 March 2006
Location: Mallorca, Spain

Whenever I visit Mallorca, I always go the Cupola. It is situated on the 'Son Morroig' estate that once belonged to the archduke Lluis Salvador d’Habsburg-Lorena but is now a museum.

The views are beautiful and romantic, and I always imagine Penelope in the cupola, gazing out to sea, waiting for Odysseus to return from his long voyage.

I chose the Holga to emphasise the ethereal mystery of the place.

At sunset, the cupola is bathed in a golden light.

If I had to choose one place, I think it would be here that I would say I definitively fell in love with my wife Paula. I think she took me there for a reason!
